Google apes my.yahoo.com

May 19, 2005

2004 Desktop Linux Market Survey

May 9, 2005

Finally, the 2004 Desktop Linux Survey is out. My combo of Suse + KDE + FireFox + Thunderbird seems to have prevailed. How did your combo fare ? Thankfully, our dept. runs Citrix windows clients for unix platforms. Its robust and with the Full-screen mode, WindowsNT is just another workspace in my KDE environment. The other applications of my choice are Bash (Shell) Konsole (Terminal ), screen (textmode window manager), Vim (Editor), WordNet (dict), Mplayer (for the rest of us), XMMS (MP3 player) , GkRellm (sensors monitor) etc.
