Yudit – The Multilingual Editor

April 14, 2005

I have discovered an awesome telugu editor for Linux platform called Yudit. Yudit supports several Indian Languages as well. Things are much better now. Surprisingly, it took only a few minutes to download, compile, install Yudit and generate documents in Telugu. Here’s a sample:  Telugu Sample

You could save this to utf-16 in Yudit and insert in your HTML files as well. [utf-16: యత భావం , తత భవతీ !!]

Avinash’s ITRANS Tool is also cool, but no offline (free) editor is available. Kudos to all the contributors. Credits: Gaspar Sinai (Yudit), Ananda Kishore,et.al (RTS for Telugu), Chandrakanth Chereddi (Yudit for Telugu), Desikachary,K (Pothana2000.ttf)

SciGen: Random Research Paper Created

April 13, 2005

Thanks to SciGen, my room-mates and me now have a research paper ready. “Some students at MIT wrote a program called SCIgen – An Automatic CS Paper Generator. From their website: SCIgen is a program that generates random Computer Science research papers, including graphs, figures, and citations. What’s amazing is that one of their randomly generated paper was accepted to WMSCI 2005. Now they are accepting donation to fund their trip to the conference and give a randomly generated talk.”
